Activity at the Cozinha Show covered regional gastronomy, techniques and recipes with cheeses from Minas Gerais
ExpoQueijo Brasil 2026 – Araxá International Cheese Awards received, this Friday (26), the show class of chef Luci de Boer, at the Cozinha Show. The activity was part of the event’s gastronomic program and highlighted the relationship between the Mineiro, the cheese and its flavors.
During the presentation, Luci prepared a reinterpretation of the dauphinoise gratin potato, a classic recipe from French cuisine, adapted with cheeses from Minas Gerais. In addition to the preparation, the chef also shared the history of the dish and highlighted how gastronomy allows valuing regional ingredients through new combinations.
According to Luci, the presence of the Cozinha Show expands the public’s experience within ExpoQueijo. “The person will not only think about tasting the cheese. They will understand that this cheese has other functionalities, such as inserting it into a recipe they might never have imagined,” she highlights.
The curator of the Cozinha Show, chef Thiago Emílio Caixeta de Ávila, emphasized that the space’s proposal is to present different ways of using the region’s cheeses, in sweet and savory recipes and reinterpretations of traditional dishes. “We brought chefs to present recipes that highlight the use of our cheese, the cheese from our region, valuing our ingredients,” he states.
With classes open to the public, the Cozinha Show reinforces the ExpoQueijo Brasil program by uniting gastronomy, knowledge and appreciation of artisanal cheeses from Minas Gerais.
